I'm a freelance English to Spanish translator, Spanish proofreader and copy-editor based in Argentina. I'm a native Spanish speaker and I've lived in Argentina and in the US, where I graduated from Highschool. I became a translator in 2006 and proofreader / copy-editor in 2009, working full-time since 2006
Now with over 10 years of experience, I have had the chance to work with a variety of texts types and projects. Either by myself or along with a group of experienced content-localizers, DTP specialists and software programmers, I can provide reliable and high-quality translation and content-editing services to help you or your clients reach a global Spanish-speaking audience.
I only translate into my mother tongue, Spanish, to make sure texts sound natural, as if they had been written originally in Spanish. I use Computer-Assisted Translation tools such as SDL Trados Studio 2011 and Across V6, among others, to ensure consistency in terminology and style all throughout large-scale projects and for returning clients.
I work with technical manuals, product brochures, IT and localization, mechanics, automotive, medicine and healthcare, books, educational materials, marketing texts, corporate websites and internal communications.
Clients I have worked for include: General Motors, Volkswagen, Case New Holland, John Deere, Dell, Oracle, Microsoft, Alcatel, Motorola, Kodak, Polaroid, General Electric, Roche, Coleman, Johnson & Johnson, Medela, Novartis, Gilead Sciences, Shire... the list goes on, and I'm hoping to complete it with your project!
As regards prices, fees for all services are based on source-text word count and vary slightly by text subject matter, complexity and turnaround time.
